Eiger Dreams: Ventures Among Men and Mountains

This book is very different compared to Into Thin Air, probably his most well-known book. This book describes Krakauer's experiences with a variety of smaller and shorter climbing expeditions and other adventures that Krakauer has had over a number of years. A highlight for me was the description of ice climbing in Alaska. In many ways, this is a more personal book that offers much more background on Krakauer's ambitions and goals of climbing.
